You can help by making a contribution to the GreenWays Initiative or the GreenWays Endowment Fund. Gifts are accepted from individuals, businesses and from foundations. We will accept cash, marketable securities and other assets.
Gifts are tax
deductible as a contribution to a public charity under the
Federal income tax code and when made to the GreenWays Endowment
Fund are eligible for the State of Michigan tax credit of
up to 50% of the gift, subject to certain limits. Click

Leverage your support - $25 to $1
The Kresge Foundation has generously committed $10 million to the GreenWays Initiative. In addition, the Land Grants made under the program are matched at a minimum of $2 from government or private funding sources for every $1 from the GreenWays Initiative.
To get this leverage, we need the help of individual donors. The Kresge Foundation grant is conditioned on our raising $1 million from individuals. Your individual contribution means more than ever and can mean real impact for our community. Examples:

We would be happy to create a named fund in honor of you, your family or your business. This fund can be a perpetual statement of your commitment to making southeast Michigan a better place to work and live. Named funds can be created for any endowment gift of $10,000 or more

Other ways to help
You can show your support for greenways in southeast Michigan by working with your community leadership to develop greenways. If your community has a greenway, take advantage of it - hike, bike, walk, enjoy the tranquility and serenity of being outside, and invest in its development.
